Lying on side

Hi Sisters,

I'm just curious and have to ask. I have fibroids and cyst. I notice at night if I sleep on my side I have to constantly get up during the night to go to the bathroom. If I sleep on my back (which I hate) I don't have to get up. Last night I had to get up four times. Could the fibroid be putting pressure on my bladder and if so why when I'm lying on my side ? Thanks for your help.

Lying on side

Sounds like that's what's happening. My bladder was squashed like a pancake and I had to urinate all the time. One of my fibroids was on a stalk outside the uterus, and if I slept on my left side, the big bump would be on that side in the morning. On the right side, it would be over there! Very entertaining.

I'm happy to report that I am now sleeping through the night for the first time in years....very nice feeling. Ask your doctor where the fibroids are...bet they are near your bladder!
