Stinging, tingling places on leg - going for Doppler

I am 3.5 weeks post-op. Starting last week I had a stinging-tingling place on my calf. Later, I had a lump (about egg sized) on my lower calf. Then last night I had another stinging tingly place on my thigh. I called my doctor's nurse today to tell her about it.

I suspect she is thinking deep vein thrombosis. She said it doesn't normally clear up that quickly, and that I only met one criterion. I asked if I could have several. She said yes. She is sending me for a doppler of my leg(s) this afternoon).

I've looked it up, but was wondering if anyone else has had this?

Hey peaceful,

Glad you talked to your doc!
Yep, it sounds like you may have some sort of thrombosis. I personally didn't have any problems with thrombosises after surgery, but it does happen, which is why they put those funky white hose on you in the hospital.

Try not to worry, I'm sure you're in good hands!

Peaceful-
Sorry to hear you're having problems. Could you have DVT after so long (I thought it was from not walking around-so immediately after surgery)

good luck and Be sure and let us know how you are.

Stinging, tingling places on leg - going for Doppler

Thanks ladies! I'm back. The technician did the dopler down both legs from groin to ankles. He took a lot of time (15-25 mine each leg). He said there were no blood clots. Hmmm. I don't know why he took so long, though. Oh well. I'll get my results on Friday.

My hubby's comment was "You've sure been spending a lot of time at the doctor's." Yep. I'm not terribly proud of that, either. But I am so worried about so many things since my cancer diagnosis. I think I'm driving myself batty!

I too have been having tingling ,burning and soreness in my right leg. I had an ultrasound on both legs. That darn legs keep me up most of the time at night. My test showed no blood clots. I was sure it was restless leg syndrome. My doctor believes it is do to lack of iron, calcium, and potassium in my system. I hope you feel better soon.
Happy healing

Thanks pngindian! I hope to hear from my doctor's office today or tomorrow about how the doppler went.

Are you taking more iron, calcium, and potassium? Is it helping?
