Tried the Aveda Sun Source sunless tanner. Two thumbs up, ZERO stink factor.

Anyone tanning?
Sunless tanning is the way to go. I tanned once in my entire life and my dermatologist just about ripped me a new one. For one, my skin is really fair and two, I have a lot of moles. Just about anything made by Neutrogena is good and it doesn't have that icky smell. They even have a formula in spray can so your hands don't look like you wiped them....well, for those who use sunless tanning lotions you know what I'm talking about. The cans and bottles may not look very big but they go a long way.

Anyone tanning?
I always wonder why people need to tan. Nothing wrong with fair skin. I did all the tanning when I was in high school, but as soon as I really understood the dangers, I stopped. It takes years sometimes, but it comes back to haunt you.

Anyone tanning?
Growviolets,
Actually, for me, I don't usually tan for color per se. I don't know where you live, but here in Michigan the non summer months can be dreary and hard to deal with. Have you ever heard of seasonal affective disorder? Personally, it helps my mood tremendously to be in the sunlight. And if I can't, sometimes, I visit the tanner... So, now you know why at least one person would tan.

Hey I love to have color also and I wear shorts at work and when I go back on monday I dont want to be all white.. so Im going to the pool tomorrow myself... and I use Tan towel.. I get them from HSN.. and they work well for alittle color in between the spray on tans or getting out in the sun... I just really want to swim and do some laps and stretch my body out some and get some of that warmth of sun on my body to .. gonna be 90 here tomorrow and i can't wait. Going to my oldests daughters apt pool and taking her 15 year old sisiter along so its gonna be a mother daughters day... still gonna look fat at heck out there .. but ohh well... who cares .. gonna let the swelly belly hang out!!!! lol

6 weeks today!
Hey girls .. 6 weeks today and its been a long hard road! Never thought i'd come out of this surgery! But I'm feeling more and more like myself everyday now. Especially since I have doubled my HRT and been sleeping better.
Im tryin to get some last minute things done befor I go back to work on monday part time... i cleaned out my big freezer in the garage today it had ice all over the place.. and then one of the puppies had an accident in the floor and had to clean a smal area with the carper cleaner .. that was a little hard.. its a heavy machine.. and well by the end of the afternoon I was wore out and my back hurt so i got on the heating pad and took a 3 hour nap and felt soo much better when i woke up.
My Doc said to start to get back to doing things and rest when i needed to and thats what I have been doing.
I still have a little yeast infection i think so i may have to have them call me in something .. gosh i was on antibiotics for 5 weeks. Took 3 diflicans now so far but think I need one more.
Other than that ... I'm feeling better... feeling back to myself... and its taken 6 weeks.. so for all you gals it will take about that long like they say.
I'm still bleeding some .. just that old hematoma blood comming out still... its kinda yellow...and red...but very little... not much on the panty liner .. and some when I wipe.
just FYI... don't try to mop .. that about killed me a week ago or so when I thought I was ready. Its the motion of the mopping that will get you...
I've been thru alot and now that I have hit 6 weeks.. I feel like a different person.. i'm glad now that I did it... I wasn't glad 6 weeks ago but I am now...
i finally see the light at the end of the tunnell...
So happy healing to you gals... and I'll keep you updated on how im feeling and doing...
Hugs and Kisses!!!!
Hmm lets see what else...

Anyone tanning?
I was an avid tanner in my teen years. I had basal cell carcinoma just a little over a year before my hysterectomy. It was very scary I had to have a section of skin from my nose to my upper lip removed and it wasn't fun. I do go to the tanning bed occasionally but just for a very short time before we go to Florida for vacation so that I don't burn while there. Otherwise I keep sunblock on with spf 60+ on me. However I have heard that it was good to spend about 10 minutes occasionally without it so that your body can absorb Vitamin D from the sun.

Funny, I just said to my husband yesterday that I have never been this pale in July before. LOL I just have no desire to go outside.
