Wish I had ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones

4 bed ward so noisy with machines, visitors, tvs competing on different channels, phone calls, doctors and nurses coming in. Wish I had brought in ear plugs or head phones. Glad I took eye shades as lights can be on all day and several times at night. Hope to get out tomorrow.

Re: Wish I had ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones

I know what you mean. I was in a private room on the mom/baby unit at my local hospital, and boy was it loud. Not only did I have to deal with the beeping every 5 minutes on my pain pump, but they added some kind of a "baby alarm" that would beep very loud through the whole hall. Thankfully I only stayed 24 hours and now its just a memory. Good luck and a speedy recovery Sister!

I don't know why you can't rest in the hospital! Seems like it should be the best place to rest. So sorry!!
