Hi Justone Welcome to Hyster Sisters. You'll find it's a great place where you'll most likely get answers to your questions and lots and lots and lots of support and hugs.

I had my hyst for fibroids and retained my ovaries, so can't be of much help in that area. However, if you do a "Search" on "Endo" or "Endometriosis", you will find lots of threads on this issue.

I agree that asking your doctor about his/her strategy for dealing with HRT is a good idea. Doctors' practices defer and a lot depends on your own case. You might also want to visit our sister site http://www.hormonejungle.com as well as the Hormone Jungle and No Hormone Desert Oasis message boards for information about Hormones.

The pull-down menus at the bottom of the Hyster Sister Home Page are full of useful information.

It is normal to be concerned and nervous about up-coming surgery, especially one of this type. I remember those days well It helped me a lot to visit this board often, to ask my questions and to feel the support. I also thrived on the Princesses Tell Their Stories message board. All those positive, and even the not-so-positive, stories helped me forge a realistic view of what was ahead.

Best of luck
Thank you so much for the re-assurance. I find this site awesome!!!! It's helping me a great deal. Knowing that one is not alone in this, is already a big burden off my chest. My fears are dissipating every time I read someone else's story. I cannot express enough how much help this site is giving me.
Thanks again, justone10
