home from the castle

Hi sisters... thought I would let you know I got home from the castle lastnight after having a subcervical hysterectomy and RSO on monday June 5th. The surgery went great and the Dr was able to keep my left ovary because it looked awesome. She had to take the right one as it was covered in endo. She cleaned out all the endo she found and even found the 50cent size spot near my belly button that was bothering me for years... found out it was between my muscle and fascia layers. She said it was cemented together but she said she cleaned it out really well and went deep to make sure it doesn't come back. No complications from the surgery so far.. I did have some trouble peeing for the first couple of days.. She left the catheter in the first day and night and the next morning they took it out and about 4 hours later i thought i was going to die... I tried everything to pee from sitting in the shower with the water on me to holding my hand in warm water.. Anyways they drained me with a catheter again. and got 750mL... and took it back out hoping that just the buildup being gone will make it easier.. and sure enough like 4 hours later again I was in pain and couldn't go again... so they reinserted the cath and gave me something called (spelling) uracil? something similar to that.. Soooooo on Wednesday they took the cath out at 11am and YEA!!!! like 3 hours later and lots of relaxing and praying my bladder decided to wake up and relieve my pain hehe.. Anyways.. i'm doing awesome and still really tired from pain meds.. I went ahead and asked to go home early as I wasn't getting any sleep at the hospital.. so Dr reluctantly let me go home lastnight and I have slept from 6pm yesterday until 10am today.. sooooo nice.. anyways.. Hugs to you all and I'll check in with you all later!
