3 1/2 days post op

I had TAH on Wed Nov 11 and came home on Nov 13. My Mom went home today, she helped out so much. I'm feeling ok, taking my pain meds and coughing and blowing my nose is not pleasant. I've been taking a stool softener and that has helped a lot.

I think I'm having a few mood swings b/c I've cried several times since being home. My hubby seems to not know exactly what to do and is being to himself. Just hard to see the things around the house that I need to do and can't and he doesn't seem to care like I do that they need to get done. I am on the patch so I guess it will even me out soon.

But, surgery went through great and so far so good. Thanks for all your support on this forum

Re: 3 1/2 days post op

Oh hun you are not alone on this one. I too was just complaining the other day about my hubby not doing things the way I like it to be done. But as you will hear from lots of other women on here that its ok to just let it go until you feel up to it. Or maybe you could ask a friend to come over and help you out, with the cleaning. I know it is hard but things will get better, I wont lie to you and say that things will all of a sudden be better, you will have your ups and downs, nothing wrong with that we all have been there. But just remember your hubby will do the things that need to be done sooner or later, when there is no more dishes he will wash them, when there is no more clothes to wear he will wash them as well, when the trash builds up and needs to be taken out he will do it. There is a section on this web site for our spouses, it might help him to better understand your situation if maybe he read it. Just a thought. And remember we are all here for you, whether you need to complain, or rant and rave, or just maybe need to chat, we are here for you. Add me to your friends list if ya want and call upon me any time. I am not trying to say I know more then you, cause I dont, but I can be a good listener Please take care of yourself and dont over do it, you only have one chance to heal correctly. Take care and consider yourself hugged
