The best of luck to you FH, you will not suffer much pain, as it's likely you will be given pain relief immediately.

There is a dragging feeling you will get, which is very strange, but it comes on when standing/walking and it's your body telling you to rest and get back down, it's not painful, just very strange.

I found I spent time preening! sounds weird, but when you can't do much getting around, take the time to file your nails, moisturise etc. You don't often get the chance to pamper.

It will be a couple of weeks before you want to do much, so accept the enforced rest, best of luck, and remember to keep in touch. This site was great especially in the early weeks.

Thanks Lil! I plan on doing a lot of lying around mixed with walking so that I can heal properly. I'm happy this is happening now, right at the start of summer!

Hi FH...I'm 2 weeks postop tah. Doing very well. Just wanted to give you a couple of pointers that would have neen helpful to me if I had paid attention: get some gasx (its a life saver!) Some MoM and some help as you will be very tired. The surgery is not that bad but soooooo tiring! Trust me on the gasx. Gas pain is the worst!!
Other than that take your time to heal properly its a slow process. Lots of luck to you. Hope everything goes smooth.
