Date Changed

Grrr My date got changed cuz there was a change in the urologist schedule. I'm frustrated cuz I want it to hurry up and get this over with!
Ha! I say that now but when it turns May I bet I'll be freaking out wanting to wait longer. lol My emotions are all ready all over the place cuz I'm on Lupron (among other side effects) too. Thursday is shot 2. ugh.

Re: Date Changed

Tld,
I'm sorry that you surgery was changed. Did they reschedule it yet?

Last week my dr called and canceled my TAH scheduled for 4/13, and referred me to another specialist. Now I have to wait until I see the new surgeon to schedule the surgery..

I can understand being mad and upset. I wanted to stomp my feet, jump up and down, pull my hair I understand not wanting to wait any longer. I have run the gamut of emotions since last thursday.

Sending you a hug , and know that you are not alone.

Re: Date Changed

Well 1st i was wanting to change the time of day for my pre-op appt and i was told she didn't even see me scheduled for that day. That night i got the mail and there was the paper with all the new dates on it. So i had to call back the next day to re-due the later in the day time thing for the right day. Plus i have 2 other docs to get on the same page. Why they can't do that themselves is beyond me. Drives me batty!

Re: Date Changed

I feel your pain...
I had laparoscopy surgery to remove Endo on December 22,2010 and since then I'm been in constant excruciating pain. My doctor thinks the Endo has spread and the only option is to have a complete hysterectomy. I've came to terms with the surgery which was scheduled for March 31, 2011 ~ I received a call last Wednesday from the doctors office postponing the surgery till April 21st. As my syptoms worsen, I don't think I can possibly wait another month. I did actually ask the doctor to find someone else to perform the surgery (I meet the new doctor tomorrow).

WHY has my doctor left me in so much pain?? I don't understand. I've tried to stay positive, but I don't have it in me anymore...

Re: Date Changed

I feel for both of you..
at least you have a date. my canceled the surgery and referred me to a new doctor. The earliest appointment I could get is for the 31st, and I was lucky to get that one. I hope they schedule the surgery soon. This last week has been dragging so slowly. I feel like i'm in limbo...here nor there.

Don't the doctors realize the emotional and physical pain their patients are in as they wait for a new date? I know they don't do it on purpose, but gee wiz, you would think they would realize it.

Re: Date Changed

I understand the limbo feeling too.

I was on Depo-provera for a few yrs after they found Edno thro exploratory Lap after almost 2 yrs of what they (doc) were calling it non-std chronic PID. Plus complex cysts ruptures on my ovaries (more the right than left).

Just last Dec. i was in the hospital for nearly 5 days cuz they (docs) said i had pneumonia when it was really pulmonary embolisms in both my lungs. Which was caused by the provera, over 35 yrs old, and i smoke. They like to throw in quit smoking with everything. I've been going through a gauntlet of stop smoking things and still smoking. But i'm going to keep trying

Sometimes it's like some docs are just wondering aimlessly around. I was the one who said let's do the hyster and get this over with. So then it was the waiting game for those dates of when it was going to happen. Then i get a change in dates. It feels like "will someone make up my mind!" geesh.
