I was sewn from the inside out and all the doctor did was put steri strip tape on they told me to take off before I went back for my two week check.I had my ovaries and everything taken out.It actually went through the c-section scar and they did not go has big has my scar.Don't think it matters if man or woman dr.I had a man.

Am I the only one that was sewn from the inside out?

Honestly, everyone is sewn from the inside out with disolvable stitches. It is just the outer layer that doctors may vary on what they use....staples or whatever. There are several layers under there and believe me, they are sewn back together!

Am I the only one that was sewn from the inside out?

I too was sewn inside to out. The Dr said they will dissolve and I had nothing else done that I know of (no glue). TAH/BSO on 4/11.

I still have some tenderness, no itching yet.

I guess it depends on your doctor on however you are either sewn or stapled.

My GYN also used steristrips... All of my stitches are internal. The steristrips were removed at my two week appt. The incision looks great. I am thrilled that I was not stapled.

Also, had steristrips for my lap surgery last year. Everyone, you can barely see the scars. You have to really take a close look. Hoping for the same outcome with this one - it is six inches.

No staples or visible stitches on me. I had the same steri-strips on for almost 3 weeks and they still didn't want to come off. The edges of the 6" incision meet right together so just a line. One end of my incicion had an end of the stitch and it fell out at 5 weeks when it must have dissolved.

Am I the only one that was sewn from the inside out?

I've got so many scars on my body, it doesn't matter to me what they used.
