Bleeding post-op...none for a week & started again

Hi...had LAVH on Dec. 22nd. They took my cervix as well.
I haven't had any bleeding for about a week and this afternoon I have spotting again. Is this normal? It appears to be a fresh blood color . I had my first checkup two days ago and the doctor said it appeared everything is healing well.

My bleeding stopped and started again too at about 2 weeks out. My dr told me it wasn't unusual to have some bleeding at this point because the sutures begin to dissolve and it can cause some bleeding. It's also not uncommon to have some bleeding on and off throughout your recovery. We're a little bit different in what we had done and how we heal though. Some women bleed quite a bit and some hardly at all.
If you have heavy bleeding, filling more than a pad an hour you should be sure to call or go in and it's never a bad thing to call your dr and ask about something that alarms you.

Thanks for your support. Blood is a bright pink so i think I'm OK. Lower back is hurting where it didn't before but after reading other posts I see that is normal. Have a great day sisters!
