Leg aches and pain

There are a lot of blogs on here about leg aches and pain and people telling you it could be blood clots. I went in twice this week 2 weeks post op due to severe pain in my thigh and then later in my calf (somewhat because of the fear these bogs distilled in me) . Both were nothing. My calf still hurts. Just wanted you to know that it does not mean it is a clot.

Did you go to the doctor or to the Emergency Room? I was told by the doctor's office that my thigh pain couldn't be a clot because I had none of the other symptoms that usually accompany a blood clot. When I went to the ER, they did an ultrasound of my leg. That's how they discovered the clot.

Even though you went twice and both times were told it wasn't a clot, it's a good thing you went. Imagine if you didn't go and it turned out to be a clot? I think that's why doctors tell patients to report any leg pain.

Glad yours was nothing to worry about.

Re: Leg aches and pain

I didn't have any other symptoms other than the pain and had two ultrasounds. I think it is good to go in, although it was embarrassing that neither time was a clot. I would get it checked, but just know that leg pain and aches do come with the hysterectomy for some annoying reason.

Re: Leg aches and pain

Yes! I had horrible aches in my both legs then it went to just my left leg in the thigh and also my calf. I was concerned about blot clots too but I figured my pain was from the way I have been lying on my back which I'm not use to doing but can't sleep on my stomach yet. When I changed my sleeping position the pain has let up!! I hope yours stops soon!
