Going on 2 weeks and I feel miserable

I am so glad that I will be seeing my doctor this Friday. I am 32 and had a total hysterectomy. (Thank to having endo) This was a hard decision for me (knowing I will never have children) but I needed to improve the quality of my life. I did not want to go through another day with pain. Since having the surgery I feel so depressed and feel like I got cheated out of the best experieences a woman can give (the gift of life) I try to keep a happy face on when I am around family and my husband, but when I am alone I just cry controllably. Has anyone felt this way?

You need to create a positive goal for yourself and your husband. For now, take the time and get better - for yourself!! Watch comedies to make you laugh, talk to others, and pray for strength. In a long term, please consider adoption. A good friend of mine went to Russia and adopted baby brother & sister! After so much turmoil in her life she and hubby are SO happy!. Remember there ARE options. YOU need to place yourself on a path which is healthy and positive!! YOU CAN DO IT

Going on 2 weeks and I feel miserable

I went through this right after my TAH. I am 37 and never thought I wanted children. Still, several days after the surgery I would cry for no reason, thinking I made a mistake, that I should have been stronger, dealt with the pain, etc. However, it is easy to say this now that I am not in pain every day. You need to remember how it felt to constantly be in pain and why you made this decision. I have finally concluded it is the only decision I could have made due to endo, and am feeling more positive every day. I know there will be down times, but just think - living without pain 24/7 when you are healed will be a brand new lease on life. You can still be a mother. That has not been taken away from you.
Lots of love,
Jenn
