Would a swelly belly band help me? LAVH coming up

help me after LAVH? If so which one should I buy?

Although you won't have an external incision, you still may have some swelling and tenderness due to your surgery, which may make the band useful for you. I didn't use the Swelly Belly Band because my required that I use a tummy binder, so I can't speak from experience.

I hope that another (((sister))) who has used the band for a vaginal procedure comes along and can give you more insight.

In addition, though -- I've heard of (((sisters))) who use the band for back pain (they just turn it around), so if you ever suffer that, it might get even more use!

Hi there. I had a LAVH on December 14. I didn't have a swelly belly band but I think I would have found it useful. When I woke up from surgery, they had placed a heavy blanket type pad over my abdomen and the weight of it really felt good. I left it on until I finally got out of bed and took a shower the next day. At home, I didn't have anything like that but did find myself holding a pillow over my tummy when sitting sometimes just for the pressure, weight of it. Now that I am back to work, my swelly belly comes back by the end of the day. good luck...hope this helps.
