Already Hungry!!

Have to arrive at the Castle at 10:30m then surgery around 12.30pm and am already hungry!
Thank goodness i took an ativan to sleep now....in fact it still has not worn off.
It feels like a dream and it has not hit me yet........
afraid i am going to have a meltdown right before!

Make sure you tell them about the Ativan when you get to the hospital. In particular, tell your anesthesiologist. The Ativan will have an additive effect with some of the drugs s/he will be using.

I'm already hungry, too. I'm sure once I get to the hospital, though, I'll be too distracted to think about that much.

Once you get to the hospital, it's a lot of hurry-up-and-wait. I've had day surgery twice this year, and both times they've had me undress, put on a johnny shirt and then lie on a gurney in the prep room for what seems like forever. Good time to practice breathing exercises!
