Confused by my thoughts !!!

Oh yeah.i went into the doctors months ago knowing I was going to demand a hysyerectomy.once I was there he started talking about doing hormones again and started talking about one of his patients who went into a coma and now shes learning to speak again and all this stuff.he scared me right out of it.when we got in the car hubby is like what just happened in there.you were so sure.so yeah I understand.

Seems like it is time for a new doctor. This one doesn't seem to hear you or even see you.

Wow! Such comfort and reassurance has brought me to tears (in a good way)! I will remember all the good advice! I might even print out your messages and read them everytime I get nervous and want to turn back my decision. Thank you!

I can see where your coming from but I dont think he meant it like that.it seems like he just wanted me to know what could happen because after he said but yes we can schedule that if you want and I was like naw I'll just do hormones again.really truly I love my ob.he's been my doc since late 2005 and he delivered both of my kids via csection and did my tubal and I completely trust him.and really he is the only one out of them all that I like and trust.

I had originally scheduled my surgery for February 2010. I had huge fibroids, bleeding, anemia and pain. Then I got an opportunity for a sweet job. Then I had to decide between the surgery or the job.

I took the job, and I am glad. I worked the job a year before rescheduling surgery. Waiting that year before getting my surgery was a huge challenge. It did serve to highlight and reinforce the reasons for the surgery. I was super scared and worried that whole time about this "thing" hanging over my head and affecting my life. SO glad it is behind me. Going back to my sweet job in a couple of weeks.

Hang in there, I think you probably know best if the time is right for you to have this done.

Thank you Coastal! I am thinking this is the right time. I just have to get over the fear factor! Ha Ha!
