dVH/RALH: Final pre op with hospital today

Guess we are all good to go for Tues. Got my phone call from the hospital today for my pre op questions. I'm all registered now. Everyone is ready for Tues. Now to just finish up the few things I have to do tomorrow, then rest on Sunday. Work Monday night, off at midnight, home for a nap. Up at 6am, load truck, drive 75 miles to my daughter's house. She's going with me and I'll be staying with her till after Christmas. Check in at 9:30am, surgery at noon.

It's funny the surgeons physicians assistant told me I would be home next day, the hospital has me down for 2. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Already off my meds for my bursitis and I didn't realize how many other aches and pains they prevented. I've been off these meds all week and I'm really sore. I'll be chillin good this weekend, too sore to do anything else.

You are almost there, and everything is set. Glad DD is taking care of you. That is really nice.

They will let you out of the hospital when you are ready. The days in are just a guess, as no one really knows. It all depends on how you recover.

For me, I know one form had me in for two days, but there was no way I could leave. The doc kept me in for another 36 hours.

Good luck with your surgery, I am sure all will go well. We will be waiting for you on the other side.

Hey Ferddie. I'm good to go Tuesday as well. I have to check in at the castle by 6 a.m. ... 8 a.m. Surgery. My doc is spoiling me, I'm the first case of the day. he has me staying over night. Which is nice, dh who works retail will have two days off instead of one.

You do have a nice doctor. I was originally scheduled for Wed at 7am and was told I would have to be at the hospital at 5:30am. I would have been the first surgery of the day, but that room was reserved already.

Tonight at work was rough. I feel like I'm in heavy back labor or getting a massive period again, but I haven't had a period in over 11 years. I got home and could hardly move I was in so much pain. I wish tomorrow was Tues!

Took a long very hot bath and I feel a bit better but my leg and hip don't like me at all today. They are going to be so happy to get their drugs back.

I'm not worried about the surgery. I have confidence in the surgeon. What my biggest fear is that I won't be able to return to the job I have now. I'm not just having a hysterectomy, but a total pelvic floor reconstruct. Not sure if I will be able to as my job is a lot of very heavy lifting.

We'll meet again on the other side which can't come soon enough for me.

Hi Ferrdie, I go to the castle on Tuesday as well. I'm gonna be busy, busy today and Sunday. Taking the day off on Monday for bowel prep. Currently I am scheduled for 7:30am with arrival time of 6am, but that is subject to change. I won't know for sure until 2pm on Monday. DD is coming home from college to care for me (YAY).
I am also having a second surgery. They are calling it a scar revision. I had bladder surgeries when I was a child and there are adhesions and massive amounts of scar tissue. Gyno wanted that to be taken care of at the same time. I'm not nervous so much about the Hyter surgery but more of wanting to not have my bladder messed with. They are such delicate organs.
