Cant sleep 5 days post hysterectomy

Been having a rough time sleeping at night. I'm not sleeping during the day except when I have to take my pain meds. I'll wake up around 1 or 2then not be able to get back to sleep.

Cant sleep 5 days post hysterectomy

Even if you kept your ovaries, they can temporarily shut down following a hysterectomy, which can affect your sleep patterns. One thing that I find really affects my quality of sleep is the temperature in my bedroom; experts say to keep it around 60-65°. Also try wearing socks to bed, which draws body heat away from the core, triggering a deeper, more restful sleep. Best wishes for your continued recovery!

Thanks, Titanic Princess😇 I find I'm most hot one minute, and cold the next. I put on the sox, and then wake up hot, and off they go!!!
