Second Opinion -- Still confused

I recently sought out another opinion fom a doctor regarding a hyst. The second Dr also agreed that I would
most likely need one because the ablation I had done (8/20/09) was unsuccessful. But what he did offer was a an actual name for my dysfunctional bleeding.

I have already decided to have the surgery, but now I'm wondering who should do the surgery. My first dr. I've only been with since this whole thing started in April. The dr. I saw yesterday seems very knowlegeabale (sorry spelling), and said he could do it. So confused.

Re: Second Opinion -- Still confused

Here are some things I would consider when making the choice. Who is the most knowledgeable? If they are about the same, which one were you the most comfortable with? Not all doctors have the same bedside manner.

Are they both suggesting the same type of surgery? If not, do you prefer one type of surgery over the other?

I would also consider which hospital each one uses. If they are not at the same facility, do you prefer hospital over the other?

Because you could be seeing this doctor several times during recovery, you could also consider which office and staff you preferred.

Do you know anyone who sees either doctor? You could check with them to see what any of them have to say.
