Back Pain

I had my Hesterectomy on Aug.14 . 2 days ago I started having back pain. I went to the hospital last night . I could not get right in my seat I was in so much pain.I waited for 4 hours and the pain let up . Since they were taking so long to get to me , I told my husbund we could go home and if I needed to we would come back.I called my freind to let her know I didn't get seen. She was worried. I told her that after the pain let up that I started burping and it smelled like bad eggs. She thought I should come to this site and post to see if anyone else has had this problem. The pain in my back fells like I pulled something. Please let me know if anyone else knows what I am talking about.I am so worried.I know the pain will be back soon.

smelled like bad eggs ... that is a symptom of being dehydrated. Of course, could be something else too.

When was your last BM? It might be that you are constipated.

Of course, I'm not a health care provider, this is just what I've learned in my short life.

My friend seems to think it is my gallbladder. has anyone had problems with there gallbladder?

While it is true that burping excessively can be a sign of gall bladder problems I don't know that having a smell along with it is.

Your back pain may be from the positioning you were put in during your surgery. (If you have had the pain since after your surgery of course).

I had a terrible pain in my hip after my surgery and it stayed with me for a few months.

I suggest that on Monday you give your doctor a call for a phone consult or to be seen if he/she thinks you should be. It will ease your mind.

Until then, try a heating pad on your back or an ice pack.

I have a bad gallbladder and haven't ever had "egg burps". Just pain if I eat too much grease or sugar. I get back aches due to not being able to change positions very well, so I go lay on the couch where I can support my back and kind of tilt a little. But your pain was severe, so you probably should let your doc know.
