Don't forget family

I have always been one to deal with things by myself but have always wanted to be there for everyone else. This site and my sisters have helped so much during this time of decision and now waiting for the trip to the castle.
Yesterday I was having a weepy day, not scared, not nervous, just weepy. I called my oldest daughter and she was so good for me, we talked about my surgery, things we did when she was a little girl at home and how much we loved each other and how blessed we both were. She then brought me her teddy bear that she was given when she had gastric bypass surgery. He has a flat butt that you put against your stomach instead of a pillow. She pinned a guardian angel on his shirt. Just think, if I hadnt called when I needed her and tried to deal with it myself, look what I would have missed.

Of course,she then called her sister who called me. I am truly blessed and wanted to share this with all of you. Dont hesitate for a minute to talk with your loved ones, if you do you just might miss one of lifes precious moments.

You sound like you are blessed with a lovely family.

For those with no close family, don't forget friends and neighbors. I find that many people are very willing to lend a helping hand once they know that it's needed. Just don't be afraid to let people know when you need help - most people do at some time or another.
