Needing to vent

So I'm 2 weeks post op today. Last couple days I've been paying for over doing it over the weekend. Well today I get an email from my landlord he wants to do a walk through of our house this Saturday. My house is in no condition for a walk through since I cant do my daily housework. I'm having an anxiety attack and trying to stay calm and not clean. I dont know what to do. Grrrrrr sorry ladies I needed to vent to someone.

Re: Needing to vent

Is it possible to e-mail back stating that you just had major surgery and would like to postpone the walk-through for a couple of weeks? OR enlist the help of a good cleaning service?

Re: Needing to vent

I really don't think you need to worry too much about the cleaning. I am a rental property owner and have to show one of our places all the time. Potential renters are coming to see the bones of the place, not if you have stuff out or dust on top of the cabinets. It is not like your landlord will use this walk thru as evidence of your deposit. I would inform your landlord of the situation. If he or she still needs to show it (sometimes unavoidable), they can inform those walking thru. It is much more important for you to heal than worry about cleaning and a setback.

Re: Needing to vent

Well I sent him an email. I'm hoping and praying that he can wait. I would love to hire a cleaning service except we have rent due Saturday along with a fee other bills so we can't afford it And my mother whose been caring for me during the day has a colonoscopy tomorrow morning so she's not available to help me. And everyone else I know (which is only family) all has to work tomorrow. I just hope he shows some sympathy and waits on it.

He's not showing it to anyone. Just wants to do a random walk thru. We are doing a lease with option to buy and put down a large down payment.

Re: Needing to vent

gotcha. Well I would really hope he would delay then. and if not then he should understand about the state of the house and give you a break!
