2nd day post hysterectomy - numbness in upper inner thighs

I was just wondering if anyone else experienced numbness in their upper inner thighs after surgery? I had a di Vinci assisted TVH bso and lymphectomy 2 days ago. I'm thinking it's from being in the stirrups for so long during surgery but wanted to see how long it might last. Thanks

Hi, some have mentioned numbness or even a twitching sensation. I kept getting this sensation in my right upper, inner thigh. But I would get this trembling TMI when Id go bathroom. I felt it to week 5. I think its a nerve. Occassionally, It returns here & there but seldom..it gets better!

I had a radical abdominal hysterectomy with bso and lymphnodes and my one upper thigh and spots on my abdomen are still numb. My Dr said it's from the incision and the nerves being cut. It will gradually get better over time. Good luck!!

That makes me feel better. I figured that was the case.

Everyone said the same thing I was going to say. I had a davinci assisted surgery as well and am almost 7 weeks out, my right upper thigh area is still numb at times. Nurse said it was due to taking lymph nodes and should get better in a few weeks. I learned from here it could be more like a few months. The only time I really notice it is when info to shave my legs. Feels very strange when you can't feel the razor!
