2 weeks post hysterectomy

I had my 2-week checkup with my gynecologist today. There was no cancer, so everything looks good, He checked my incisions and also did an internal check. Since the surgery was totally laparoscopic, I guess that's why he could do that. The check was not painful at all, not even the palpitations where he pushed down on my abdomen. He was quite gentle. I am now clear to do anything I feel up to doing, as long as it isn't heavy lifting or sex. (Just when did sex become equated with heavy lifting???? ;-0 ) Needless to say, I am very happy to be doing so well. I have not needed any pads; I take an Ibuprofen now and then, when I feel a bit tight or a bit achy. It has been no more than a heaviness, much like what I used to feel at the start of my period. I feel blessed to be feeling so good so quickly; I wish that to all of you, as well.

on the good path reports and post op. I am so glad to hear that you are doing well. Remember that with doing well also comes the temptation to do too much. Please be careful in your recovery and listen to your body. It will start yelling at you when you do too much.
