exercise pain 10 weeks after surgery

Had a laproscopic supracervical hysterectomy 10 weeks ago - just started running again - having some pain now - is this normal? it's not unbearable and doesn't hurt when I run - just after

Pain is your body's way of telling you to take it a little easier. You might consider pushing back running for a few more weeks.

Keep in mind it can take up to a year to heal so 10 weeks isn't that far into the process.

I've been running since shortly after my surgery, and I've noticed that I get abdominal cramps/pain if I push myself too hard. If you're hurting after (and it's not just your legs complaining a bit), then you probably need to run slower, walk more and/or run less distance. I've also had to build in more rest time immediately after long runs.

I've started my running again too. Well jog to run. Lol. I'm abt 13 weeks post op & I'll do fine one day & then cramp & swell the next. The last 3 days I haven't exercised because of having pain. Yep pain is a way of telling your body to rest. My husband had to get on to me & MADE me take a few days off from exercise. I'm glad he did. I'm going to have to ease back into it I suppose.
