Iam at 6 week anyone else experience exhaustion?
hi, I totally and completely understand the exhaustion! I'm better about being so pooped out, but yesterday, I went to a fish/boat show with my DH and all of a sudden I just had to sit down.
I agree with the walking ... I increased each week of the 6 or 7 by 5 min. I was walking 30-35 min, twice a day. When Iwent back to work, it was hard to keep up with the 2 times.
Now, I trying to increase my workouts. I tell myself the same thing as noted above ... I recovered for 7 weeks and 2 weeks before that from a D&C, so I supposed it will take 9 weeks to build back up.
Today, I did a 10 min strength training workout, using 2 lb weights. I also did a 2 mile walk aerobic program, but I modified it to be easier.
Patience is our gift.

Iam at 6 week anyone else experience exhaustion?
Gees, reading all of this is so very reassuring--tomorrow I'll be at 6 weeks and I have two appointments tomorrow, which means commuting into the city (bus and train). I'm kind of looking forward to getting out of the house, but I know I'll be totally exhausted when I return. On Wednesday I'll have to do it again for my 6 week post-op appointment.
Thankfully, very very thankfully, I don't have to be back at work for 2 more weeks. I just don't feel like doing much beyond what I can do in my chair.
I went grocery shopping this week and wasn't sure I'd make it home...I live alone and the task needed to be done...now I'm running into a laundry issue...trying to figure out how to get the loads from the 2nd floor down to the basement and back up again.
All of this just makes me feel overwhelmed--so once again, it is good to read that others are feeling the same way.

Iam at 6 week anyone else experience exhaustion?
Hello, Today was my 1st day at work and I did pretty good. I noticed when I sat down on break I would get tired. Walking around and talking to customers help alot.
I have Good News my general manager went over my manager's head and I wil be transfered to another location for a better position -a 15 min drive from my home. No more commutes, no uniforms, no more 4:45am shifts and no more working every weekend.
Iam was thrilled and surprised. My hours ahev beeen officially restored, now I work a normal shift, no more 4:45 shifts ,working every weekend etc, no more uniforms -hooray!!!!

Thank goodness I have a nice General manager he is a young guy and was apalled at my manager's behavior. I didnt expect to be transfered to a better position close to home (15 minutes away). No more tolls and save on gas.

That is GREAT news, Contessa!
I went in to work for 3 hours today and did well. Took a nap as soon as I got home. But it was a good, successful start.

Iam at 6 week anyone else experience exhaustion?
I'm three weeks post tomorrow. I must say I am doing great! I went back to work last week and worked fulls days. I had a total abdominal and cannot receive HRT due to breast cancer. I even went back to the gym this afternoon and walked 1.5 miles, 4 mph. Just as in my battle with breast cancer earlier this year, it's all in the attitude. With the proper attitude and with God's help it has been rather easy. I have had numerous friends tell me your 3rd week you will feel like your are losing your mind, you will be totally exhausted - I refuse to believe and I am working to be an exception to the rule.

I didn't read all the replies, but I was exhausted up until about 3 1/2 months. It take time for your body to heal and you really need to listen to it. The day will arrive when you finally think "Hey, I didn't think about my surgery one time today! I'm starting to fell normal!" Once that happens, it gets better and better.
