LAVH Recovery after May 16th post op - depressed

This surgery is definitely an emotional one and I wasn't prepared for that. I wanted this surgery so I was completed flabbergasted when at 2 weeks post op, I was crying because my body felt like I'd given birth, and my belly looked like I'd given birth, but "where was my newborn!!". I am 45 and my husband 50 and we have 4 grown kids, 3 in college. No way did we want any more children. But the feelings were really overwhelming. But it passed finally and I'm feeling better everyday and don't regret this at all. This too shall pass and with the greater quality of life you'll be grateful you made the decision.
