Extreme cramping without uterus, still have ovaries

Hi, I had a supercervical hyster in 2007 with just my uterus and partial cervic removed. Every month is the same extreme cramping as if I still have my period and spotting brown & pink. My doctor continues to tell me this is normal because I still have my ovaries because of my hormones......anybody else having this?

I am sorry you are having this cramping... The spotting is probably happening because of the remaining cervix... some have had the cervix cauterized to stop this. I don't know about the cramping.

I am two months post op and I as well am having menstrual type cramping, bloating, breast tenderness and all the lovely things that accompany pms. I haven't spoke to my Dr. about this but I was hoping someone would have some answers!

I had a LSH about 3 months ago, and have had cramping too, but no spotting. I have had alot of bladder issues. Feeling of needing to go all the time, but really don't have to. Wonder if it has anything to do with the cervix being left in? My doctor had no answers, but said she could try going back in and taking it out, to see if it makes a difference, but she did not know if it really would. I think no surgery if they do not know it would even help. I would get a second opinion first.

Please let me know what your doctor think it could be. My doctor advised that since my ovaries are still left that I am still producing hormones every month & the discharge and cramping are coming from my hormones. I think this is a bit much after having a hyst.

what was the reason you had your hysterectomy? sometimes the cervix is part of the problem before and when its left, the problems continue.
