Mysterious Bruise

I am 3 weeks post hysterectomy. The surgery was a vertical abdominal incision. Supracervical procedure.
Ovaries, fallopian tubes and uterus were all removed.
Cervix was left.

Just yesterday I noticed a bruise had formed on the front
of my right thigh. Very sore. Hadn't bumped it or done anything to my leg. Just this mysterious bruise two inches
across. Started light reddish purple with a spot about the size of a dime at the center that is very sore and slightly swollen.

Anyone had any experience with this or any suggestions?
I iced the area for about 3 hours before going to bed.
Overnight it hasn't gotten any larger, more at the surface,
less red and more dark purple. Center is still a little sore
but swelling is alot less.

I'm sorry you've experienced this but am glad the swelling is subsiding. Please don't hesitate to check with your doctor if you're at all concerned or if the improvement doesn't continue. Hopefully, it's nothing to worry about.

Sending all good wishes for a smooth recovery!
