Hi there ladies,

I became a princess on mon 21st - so I won't stay for long - got home from the castle today(thurs) and am already grateful for dh being so wonderful. I thought it would be similar to the 2 caesars I've had - but this is harder - but I'm still heading in the right direction. Had a couple of mainly because who really gets to sleep in the castle?

On day 1 I've already learned that you do have to be a good princess and the swelly belly is there

but it's over

so best wishes to future princesses - will catch up again when I can sit for longer

bye bye

Congratulations CharlieCat - isn't it great when it's over!

I've just noticed you live down the road from here - I didn't realise there was another aussie girl out there.

Now all you have to do is get looked after by your lovely DH, get lots of rest and do all the other stuff that this site tells you to do.

Welcome Home, CharlieCat!
I thought something looked awfully shiny when I opened the pre-op board this morning and here it was you in that new crown!

Yes, its a good feeling to have the surgery overwith and definately worth celebrating, but now you have to take it one day at a time, dig deep for patience and move gently down the road to recovery.

There are quite a few Aussie girls here. I hope they see your post and stop in to say hi.

Congratulations and Remember to Be a Good Princess!
It will get better!

Hugs,
Lynn

Hi there Charlie and Cathy - a big hello from sunny Queensland

Charlie - congratulations on becoming a princess. Wow - you are a brand new princess. A hint - take all the pampering you can get while you can. My dh was also unreal after my op - he was just totally an angel. It is still early days yet, but it does get easier day by day. Do about a 1/4 of what you actually think you are up to doing in the next few weeks.

There are quite a lot of Aussie girls on the boards. There is actually a forum called "Hystersisters around the World" and there is an Aussie forum in there where quite a few of us downunder girls have "connected".

As you can see, I have been on the site for quite a while. I monitor in the chat room Friday night USA time, which is actually 11.30am - 1.00pm Saturdays our time. The chat room was totally my lifesaver in those first weeks post op.

Just really wanted to drop in and say hi to you Charlie and finding Cathy here as well is a bonus.

Oh yeah - in the weeks to come - a bored princess = a good princess.

Well, off I go (polishing duties on the crowns needed for the up and coming princesses-to-be)

Hugs and regards
