LAVH Fever

I had my hysterectomy on Mar 26, 2013. On Monday I went to the doc because I had a fever on and off. Come to find out I had an infection. Got some antibiotics and was doing ok until to night my fever is back!! I don't know if it is because I did too much walking around the house today. Other than the fever the pain at the incision sites are healing, the gas was HORRIBLE AND SO WAS THE 1ST BOWEL MOVEMENT.

Did they do blood work to determine what type of infection you had? I would call your doctor. I ended up back in the hospital for 4 days because I had two infections and one showed up as e-coli. Your activity level would be the least of my concern when you are just coming off an infection. They may not have given you the right meds for the infection or your body did not accept it well

The gas and BM issues are common but a fever is an indication of an infection. It sounds like your infection is not cleared up and you need additional antibiotics. Please call your doctor.

No she did not tell me what kind of infection I had, just took a urine sample! I will call tomorrow! Thanks ladies
