just a thought and a question

Since I can't sleep and its almost 4 in the morning I just thought I would say that I am so glad that I found this page, I just wish I had found it before my surgery since I had so many thoughts running in my head. I had a break down before surgery and was a hot mess to say the lease. I have never thought a place like this would make me feel so welcomed. I hope that I can find some new people to chat with and get to know.

Oh and one question: Did anyone have trouble giving a pee sample before surgery?

I didn't have trouble myself but this is a great place. There is so much information and others that are going through the same things that you are. I haven't been here long myself but it has helped me so much since my hysterectomy on the 13th.

I am also very happy I found this site. I was lucky enough to find it prior to surgery and I know it made a huge difference. I am usually terrified of surgery and very anxious but because of everything I had read I felt completely prepared and was very calm (so much so that the anethesiologist commented on it). I woke up in recovery and one of the nurses kept telling me how good I was doing and how I was an inspiration to her since her surgery was scheduled for December and I couldn't stop talking about this site and how wonderful it is.

I am also happy that I found this site. I found it earlier this year when I had a pretty serious cancer scare. Luckily it was nothing, but the plus was I found all of you. I was so scared of surgery and was grasping at straws. It is amazing what a google search can do. I ended up needing my final surgery on Oct 3rd and it is so nice to know I am not alone.
