6 MONTHS Out and constipation
I had my surgery August 18th, 2008. Things were going very well post op. About a month ago I started having severe constipation problems. I have not started any new medication or anything different, so wondering if the const. may be due to the surgery.?

I can't say for sure if your problem is related to your surgery,but I have found since mine that I have needed to add fiber to my diet to stay regular. I like the fibercon and take them with dinner every night.
I don't know how active you are, but my dr told me I needed to exercise more and it would help this, and he was right. Often some small adjustments will make a huge difference here. I hope you can find some that will be a help to you. Let us know how you do.

Thanks Rita!! Yes, I do need to exercise more.. I have a treadmill but it has become a clothes rack..lol.. time to get on it i guess!!

You could try adding a stool softner and see if that helps. It's not a laxative just softens things up.
