One week and a world of difference!

One week ago, I was nearing the end of my 10am surgery after nearly 9mo of pain and 2 mo of utter fear.

Today, pain levels are down to about a 4 on my surgery stomach when pre-op I was 5-7 daily for my back. My back & hip pains thus far feel that they have been resolved to almost nothing.

Dr said one fibroid was grapefruit size pushing on my intestines (hello stomach pain) and the other was softball size and pinching a nerve in my lumbar region (hello back pain) while my uterus was a large cantaloupe pressing on my bladder (hello inability to void pain). Took two doctors and a lot of pulling / stretching to barely get everything out the 8" incision (I can tell by the bruising -oy!).

Hoping with all my might that this WAS the right road to recovery. Both MDs said they had little doubt before hand and zero doubt post-op that it was.

Hello to the future - *fingers crossed* - Pain Free!
