Why am I bleeding-when everything is healing?

I'm having the same red blood three weeks after a total DaVinci. Dr said the stitches are fine and that I am healing. He cauterized (I don't know what). He was very clear this could happen many times during the first 2 months and it is not indicative of a problem as long as the bleeding is not profuse.

When I questioned, he said the bleeding could be from where he cut out the uterus and/or it could be from the slowly healing vaginal cuff.

And yes, it's driving me crazy and making me very nervous but I think it's really ok.
