dVH/RALH: Made it through pre-op, less than 19 hours to go!

Had my pre-op with my surgeon this morning and all is set for tomorrow. He change my bowel prep slightly, no dulce lax pills, only the liquid diet today and the Miralax with Gatorade this afternoon into evening.

We finalized what's going and why's staying...everything is going except ovaries as long as they look healthy. I told him my concerns with the right ovary and having constant pain from it and he said he'll make sure he looks very closely at that one (that's where the painful cysts always show up). He's also going to do the bladder dye test to make sure there is no damage to it from my c-sections or the hysterectomy. Fallopian tubes are definitely going, I told him to take them, and he said based on the newest research that ovarian cancer may actually start in the tubes he agrees that they can go.

Trying remain calm! Anyone else going in tomorrow September 10th?

Right there with ya Liz, getting ready to drink my miralax cocktail as I type this! I lucked out I have my pre op apt tomorrow 2 hours before my surgery I will arrive at the castle at 8:30am. I'm an excited ball of exposed nerves today, I can't wait to part ways with this angry organ but it is surgery after all! See you in the other side!

Just downed my first glass. Not too bad, but thick Gatorade is kind of gross lol. Best of luck to you and see you on the other side!

Good luck! I go in for pre-op tomorrow and LAVH on Wednesday. Your concern over the ovaries sounds similar to mine though it's my left that is the most problematic with cysts.

Good thoughts will be going out for you tomorrow.
