Feb 22/13

Had my tah Feb 22/13 - stayed in hospital 2 nights an then home. Minimal pain and discomfort until day 4/5 the dreaded gas pain days. Pain made me wonder if I ever should've done this to my body. Finally had bm and life changed. I am 10 days post op feel great no pain -stood at stove for 15 min today and that made my tummy very achy. It wasn't until day 8/9 until I finally started to sleep throughout the night. There is light at the end of the tunnel and everyday is easier!!

Re: Feb 22/13

You will make it!! Keep up on the stool softeners they do work-slowly. I had no pain passing at all due to the softeners. You really do feel miserable until this happens. I hope you go soon and trust me you will smile when it happens - as silly as that sounds. Recover quickly !!!!

Re: Feb 22/13

I'm 5 days post-op from a partial abdominal hysterectomy and am anxiously (and uncomfortably) awaiting a bm, lol.

ps. Is there a key somewhere for all the abbreviations? I get so confused reading these posts!
