one week ago today....now for some questions!

Good morning HS's!!
It has been one week since my surgery. So far I feel well with minimal pain. The nurse from my doctor's office phoned me yesterday and inquired how I was doing and if I was taking my prescribed Vicadin. Well I, of course, was honest and told her I haven't taken any. Well the nurse questioned "why not?" I explained I am not in pain so I haven't taken it. She indicated I should be taking it for the healing process. Anyone else see why I have an issue with this!?
Next question...please I apologize if I offend anyone in advance... would you inquire with your doctor if anal sex is safe after two weeks post-op? I think I know what she will say.

I can't imagine why you'd need narcotics with no pain, a week later. At any rate, if you had taken it on schedule, surely you would have used up the pills by now anyway, I'm sure. The anal sex question comes up here a lot but the answer is no. The surgical area is too close and can get disrupted, so anal and vaginal penetration are off limits for the same length of time. But "outercourse" is sometimes allowed, if that's any consolation. Depends on the Dr though, so you should check. IMHO Drs should just spell all that out in advance but they are used to the questions.
