HELP...Does anyone know the name of the surgery...

where they burn the inner lining of the uterus? I saw a post about that on here, but I've no idea how far back it was. I'm thinking if they remove the severely damaged ovary (left side) and do that endometrial ablation (something to that affect, they burn the inside of the uterus, or something like that?), that I might be able to hold off on the BIG H... any thoughts?

yes, ablation is the right term
you will find a lot of info about that procedure in the Options and Alternatives forum.

For some women this procedure works very well.

I thought about ablation

Talk to you doctor about the best way for you to approach it. I too, looked into ablation, but when my adenomyosis was confirmed it was eliminated as an option. Usually ablation works best with hormonal pathologies and less effective for structural. That's what my doctor told me. So talk to your doctor about both and see what will give you the best long term success.
