butt/tailbone/coccyx pain - HELP

I am going crazy with that type of pain. I have had it for about a year and thought that maybe a hysterectomy would help as my uterus was enlarged and I had two cysts on my right ovary. The doctor did find endometriosis in the cul-de-sac. I was hoping that would take care of it. I will be 4 weeks postop Tuesday and am having a lot of pain in my low back/tailbone area. I feel like I am at the end of my rope with it. I was thinking about what I did differently right before it started hurting so bad and one thing I did was start taking Concerta for ADD. I read where one of the less common side effects of Concerta is low back pain so I am going to quit taking Concerta and see if it gets better. I would do anything to be rid of this pain.

Thanks for the ideas

Hi, everyone! Thanks for all of your great ideas and feedback! Per suggestion, I have purchased a donut cushion, and it relieves a lot of the pain when I travel. Thank you for the idea!

I have begun swimming slowly, and this is helpful to me, but you want to check with your dr. first. They think I have scarring from all the surgeries attached to my tailbone, and inflammation in the region. The problem is, b/c of the blood thinners I am on, I can't take anti-inflammatories. Right now, they are planning to give me anti-inflammatory shots by epidural once I come off the blood thinners.

I, too, have wondered if maybe something was injured during one of my surgeries. Overall, the swimming seems to be helping a bit, but sometimes I feel like I will never be pain-free in this area again. I have also started to try to walk more, but prolonged walking, sitting, or standing usually causes a lot of pain in this area. It is very frustrating! They can't do any kind of massage or anything else right now b/c of my propensity to bleed and bruise due to the blood thinners.

On top of this, b/c of the blood thinners, I can't take hormones right now, and I am only 28! I am sooo ready for this to be over!

Thank you, everyone, for your help and support. Please let me know if you find anything else to help.
