Where to start -- just started Climara patch

I've just recently had a complete hysterectomy (6 weeks ago). I just decided today that I could wait no longer and I put the climara patch on. Can anyone tell me how long I can expect it to take to get some relief? My doctor gave me a shot the day after my surgery and said to put the patch on whenever I felt it was time. Well, the time has come. This site looks like it could be very helpful.

I am not in the same boat as you, but I did some research on the patch. It said you should get some relief rather quickly because it goes in the bloodstream right away. I hope you are feeking some relief soon.

I started VIdelle patch about a month ago. My family could tell a diierence within 24-hours. I started the patch Friday night and by Saturday night I slept all night. No hot flashes or night sweats.

I am on Vivelle which is similar to Climara. Apparently my dose was too low (comments on this in multiple other threads) and my doc had me put a second patch on while in the office. Before I got to the parking lot I could feel the difference. If you do not feel a difference (improvement) shortly, I would call the doctor and see about getting checked for your blood levels and whether you need a different dose.

Hope that helps!
