home health aide?
Hi all, had my surgery three weeks ago and although I am not in a lot of pain I have a lot of discomfort in my sides where kidneys/bladder is. Was offered a home health aide today by my insurance but declined. Told them not sure what they can do for me since I can get up and move around, then lay down afterwards, but now considering it. Did ayone have an aide hen they got home and if so what did they do? I'm just unsure since I am not completely bedridden, etc. Thanks!!

Re: home health aide?
Hi, hope your recovery keeps going well for you. Are you able to cook, and do light cleaning? If not a HHA can do those things for you. They will also do grocery shopping for you as well. If you need it, then don't pass up extra help! Take advantage of any and all help you can get. Take care and good luck to ya.

Re: home health aide?
Grocery shopping would be a huge help for me!! going out the house takes a lot out of me energy wise, my back and stomach cramps after an hour or so and first thing I want to do when I get home is get in the bed!! lol I just didnt know what a home health aide duties would be and incude (maybe I should ask!) everything just sucks my energy right now. And my kids ages 12 and10 are like my aides right now, bless their hearts!

Yes, grocery shopping is one of the HHA duties. Call and speak to someone they will fill you in on all that. Glad to hear your kiddo's are helping you out! Good luck to you, and take all the help you can get.
