Infection?

Hi to all you lovely ladies,

I had a TAH on the 28th of May, keeping ovaries, for Adenomyosis.I had a huge uterus, and a huge cut to get it out!
I live in France, so they give you a post op check at 4 weeks. I had this done a week ago, and was given the all clear to drive, have sex etc!

We left it a few days, and it was very tight, and painful, ( no dryness problems though) so we stopped as it was too painful, and I was bleeding.

This was 3, almost 4 days ago, and although the bleeding is just pink, I have a lot of pain in my belly. I also feel really uncomfortable inside my vagina, and have really bad back pain.
Could this be an infection? Or am I just doing too much? My hubby has gone back to sea, so I don't have any help now.

This is not the normal post op swelly belly pain.

I know now, in hindsight, why everyone else in the world is told to wait 6-8 weeks. Was it just too soon? Or could I have got an infection if the cuff has bled?

If you just had the bleeding that tapered off, I'd say it was just because that's typical after your first time having sex again. However, you're experiencing pain, and that's not normal.

Call your doctor, do it right away because if it is an infection, it will only get worse. If it isn't you can ask more direct questions about having sex again once your hubby gets home.
