Usage of Pre-op Suggestions

I love the leg workout comment (for strength getting off the throne!). But remember also that the hospital thrones are significantly higher so be CAREFUL the first time back home!

I was in all week so by the time I got home my own thrones seemed like they were a mile down and I sort off fell down to it which was jarring and a bit scary too!

I bought new pajamas and slippers for the occasion. So glad I did. I know it was only for a couple of nights, but it was worth it to me. Those hospital gowns are so hard and non- princess like! Plus I had an allergic reaction to the epideral, itchy skin, so miserable. Would have been much worse without my own stuff.

The chapstick was an absolute necessity. So glad I saw it on the pre-op suggestions before I went in!

Get or prepare gel ice packs now! I continue to stress them to everyone because they are soo wonderful for the swelling tummy and hoo haa! When I got my surgery it was still cold outside and I used a heating pad for back aches and whatnot ~ I don't think it's cold enough now for a heating pad anymore
