Brown discharge after 2 1/2 years..

Hello there sisters,
It's been almost 3 years since my Hysterectomy (kept ovaries and cervix) no complications (knocking on wood) but suddenly today after going to the bathroom when I wiped, I had some brown discharge with a very teeny tiny amount of blood....is this normal?????

I am a little scared (okay, a lot scared!) and wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this after so many years.....

IS there any order with it? I would get that kind of discharge for the last year like once a month and sometimes it would have an order other times it would not. Doctor said that its a bacterial infection that the ph balance gets messed up and will cause the bacterial infection. Things that will change it will be sex, toilet paper or even the soap that you use. She has told me no soap at all to wash in that area, just a wet wash cloth.

Slight bit of odor...but I can't think what may have triggered it...other than having a BM and perhaps a new body wash that I have been using....

If it continues I will make Dr appt...thank you so much for taking the time to respond

That is the signs of a bacterial infection. I have too had changed body wash and was told that would cause it. My dr told me that after I am totally healed from my surgery that she she will prescribe antibiotic cream to insert each month to help for the bacterial infection. Please see your dr to get it checked. I am sure that is what is going with you as well..

Def will make appt with Dr for Monday just to be sure all is well....

I have heard that with keeping your cervix you can expierence a mini period since the cervix contains the same type of cells from your uterus Id check with a dr to be sure

Since it's the weekend and I can't get in to see my dr, I have been doing "research" online and I have read a few stories about women keeping their cervix and having mini periods

Since I haven't had any issues since the surgery, seeing this discharge made me nervous.....haven't seen hardly anymore discharge since friday though
