period panties and fibroids

I just have to say what a relief it was to me to find out I was'nt the only one in the world that had period panties!! I have sisters but they have no problems like mine (go figure...thanks mom LOL!!

Anyway I do have one question though, it seems like my fibroids make my tummy feel hard when it's that time of the month, since I have my period every 2 weeks I feel like a constant bloat has this affected anyone else this way??

Re: period panties and fibroids

A word of hope! I felt the same way before my surgery and was amazed almost from the moment I woke up in the recovery room at how much lighter I felt after the surgery without all of that pressure and bloating. I had dealt with it for so long that it seemed normal.

Re: period panties and fibroids

I had that constant bloat too as well as an enlarged uterus. I would feel the bloat all the way up to my chest. And I had periods every two weeks. I am three and half weeks post op and the bloat is long gone. You can feel the difference immediately. And I was also so happy to throw out all my "period panties"! Can't wait to get done healing and hit up Victoria's Secret! Good luck ladies!

I have to say thanks for the best laugh today! I have had "period panties" since I can remember! I thought I must be the ONLY person in the world with these. None of my friends had them! When I saw your post I just cracked up because I am now 34 and it is still a relief that I am not alone in my PERIOD PANTIES!!! Thanks!!
