5 days post hysterectomy - prolapse? Swelling?

Hello
I'm new, had total hysterectomy on 11/12/2015.
I am now finding pain is easing, I had a vaginal hysterectomy. But when I go loo, still feels like I have a prolapse of some sort. Even though surgeon said it was only uterus and cervix that was the prob. Is this possible there's anything else? Apprently everything else inside was fine and didn't need repairing. Also worried about belly sticking out thanks

Re: Newbie

I had a TAH so different to yours, but many sisters on this forum experience 'fullness' down there. Seems to be caused by inflammation, but will improve.

Swelly belly is very common - I think it's caused by the gas they use during surgery. Mine lasted a few weeks, and if I overdid things it would come back, usually at night. In time it too will disappear.
