Daisy, that's a great list!

Pamsue: very nice tips.

I was doing really well until this morning. Now I'm realizing I only have tonight and Sunday to complete my preparations and I still have a big to do list to knock out.

It's funny, I'm more worried about being prepared than the actual surgery.

Stress levels are through the roof right now!

I'm so thankful for all of the responses...I wish I could hug everyone
I will continue reading and thanking each and everyone of you personally
I'm so happy and thankful for the responses....I'm going to my Pre-admissions testing in a few hours so I will be smiling as I walk in! (Even with the 2+hours they say I will be there)
Thanks again

Even if you don't get everything done on the list, it will be okay. Life after surgery is like life before surgery in that you still take it one day at a time. There were many things I thought I wanted to get done before, but there just wasn't enough time, and you know what? It really didn't matter. Somehow things have worked out. So, try to relax and let it be okay if you can't get to everything.

Love Ciara,
Ciara, how did your appointment go? I had mine on Wednesday and it only lasted an hour. Asked a bunch of health questions and took a deposit. I thought they'd do blood and urine samples but the didn't . I think I will freak out if when I get there next tuesday they delay it because of low iron or something. Everyone's been right about the waitin being the worst part. I have lost weight because of the stress - gotta look on the bright side of things . Hope all went well today for you. This website has been A blessing!!

Re: 1week away jitters

It went well, it wasn't a bad as it seemed....they asked me a bunch of questions and took my vitals and 2small tubes of blood for count/type the nurse assigned to me was so very helpful and imformative, she helped ease majority of my fears and concerns (yes this website is a blessing) well the countdown begins for me I'm scheduled for 7/31 and prayerfully everything goes according, I'm trying to gain some patience since I've waited my whole life for this so I suppose waiting a few hours won't be as bad(thinking on the bright side) since I truly have -0 patience waiting seems like forever
Be Blessed and Good luck on your journey
