I am scheduled August 7th

Hello Sisters,

I am scheduled August 7th and have not been able to sleep for the last few days thinking of what to do. I started by cleaning my house and making it very clear to the family I will need their help during this time. I went bought some loose pajamas but plan on wearing loose capris during the recovery time. I also bought some books and magazines. It's nice to hear others feedback and know you are not alone. I am nervous but ready to get this past me and focus on recovery time.

YOu are not allow. We all went through it. I will say my recovery was so much better than I expected.

Do what you can, and leave the rest. This is your time to pamper yourself. You are a princess.

I am also having surgery that day, I am nervous because I live on the second floor and it has really been bothering me on how I will be getting up the steps after surgery.

Thank you for the support. I am now debating if I should remove my cervix. My Dr. has given me a choice. I have been reading all the different materials but still debating. I have until the day of surgery to decide. My uterus is being removed due to fibroid s.

I was really scared, too, but my surgery went just fine. My issue was fibroids as well. In fact, my doctor, who has done hundreds of these surgeries, told me that one of the fibroids was the "ugliest" she has ever seen and gave me pictures to prove it. Gross! I am so glad those things are out of me. I debated about my cervix, too, but decided to have it removed with my uterus (kept ovaries). My doctor advised removal, and I trust her completely. It is a difficult decision that only you can make.
