I don't think I can take much more

I just really, really need to vent. I don't think I can take much more of this. I am 7 weeks post LAVH and 1 week post vaginal cuff repair. I have had a lot of issues with continued vaginal bleeding d/t my blood thinners which is why I had to go back to surgery in the first place. Since the cuff repair I have had normal discharge, light pink, turning white and very minimal. Then about two hours ago I started to bleed bright red blood yet again and now it is very heavy again, and starting to pass clots. The frustrating thing is I have been being so careful, and taking it so easy trying to prevent this very thing!

I know that I am going to have to go the ER again but I am trying to put it off. I hate my local ER as they are worthless. Also it is snowing like crazy. The hospital that I had surgery at is 1.5 hours away. At this point I just don't know what they can do. I can't go off the blood thinners or I will most likely die from a blood clot but obviously they are adversely affecting my healing process. Also my 20 minute surgery for the cuff repair turned into an hour and a half ordeal because he had so many problems. This surgery was suppose to make my life better and I have had nothing but problems so far.

And of coarse all this has to happen on a Friday night right before the holiday weekend. I just knew something was going to happen. This too shall pass, right?

Can you call your surgeon or the office? If you are bleeding to the point of filling a pad in one hour, you really do need to go to the ER. Please keep us posted.

HUGS DEAR SISTER...

Christmas Prayers being said for healing. Please trust your instincts though. Maybe, if your local ER can arrange it they can have you safely transported to the other hospital.

(((((HUGS))))))

I so hear you.. I had my surgery about a week before you.. It has been one thing or another since.

The doctor said that this would hopefully be the surgery to take away 4 years of constant pain.. The pain is still there and even worse.

Massive infection 2 weeks post-op. Heavy sedated drugs. At 4 weeks, 2 infections popped up. After a week, one infection is cleared but the other infection isn't and is not going away. CT scan yesterday morning and still awaiting to hear the results, to see if I have to go back in and have surgery to stop the infection...

It is so frustrating.. I hope the doctors can find out what is wrong and get you all healed up soon!!

Re: I don't think I can take much more

Same here :/ admitted back to hospital for 5th time first few timea for bleeding and clots from hematoma or vessel in cuff and that got infected. I couldnt keep the antibiotics in first that was painful! Then after 10days still no progress and infection worse so here I am admitted and waiting to hear what next. I too feel upset this recovery seems so long yet I've been suffering for over 25yrs and I hope it really will take away our pain in the end but nothing has gaurantees. Just need to stay positive and positively support my poor body thats been trying to heal and has been thru much any multiple surgeries for years! Hope you heal well and remember try and be thankful for everything else you have that makes tou smile
